Create 3D Characters

Cipher lets you create game-ready 3D characters through a conversational workflow, optimized for iteration, animation, and export.

What this tool is for

Use Create 3D Characters when you need:

  • Playable or NPC characters for games

  • Humanoid characters prepared for animation

  • Assets compatible with engines like Unity or Roblox

Text to 3D

Use Text to 3D to create a 3D character or asset directly from a written description.

How to use it

  • Ask clearly for a 3D model (e.g., “Create a stylized warrior character in T-pose”).

  • Be explicit about style, pose, and purpose (game character, NPC, animation-ready).

Best for

  • Original character creation

  • Precise control over style and proportions

  • Animation-ready characters (when requesting T-pose)

Cipher displays a confirmation message summarizing the asset as a humanoid 3D character in T-pose for Unity and shows a ‘Proceed’ button costing 30 lightning credits.

Image to 3D

Upload your image, concept art, photo, or orthographic drawing, and Cipherarrow-up-right will turn it into a ready-to-use 3D model for your games.

Supported formats & constraints

  • Formats: PNG, JPG, JPEG

  • Max file size: 10 MB

  • Images should have:

    • Clear subject

    • Minimal background noise

    • Full character visible (for humanoids)

Important notes

  • If the image shows a humanoid not in T-pose, Cipher may suggest generating a T-pose preview first for better 3D results.

  • It only allows one image file per request.

  • Image to 3D works best for single, clearly defined objects or characters.

If you wish to generate a character for animation, we suggest you ask Cipher to generate it in a T-Pose. Below you have an example of a prompt.

Ask this:

💡 Tips:

  • Think about animation: if you wish to animate your model, ask Cipher to generate it in a t-pose, and try to simplify its appearance in a prompt, more complex textures are more difficult to animate

  • Be specific: try to be specific about the appearance and style of a model

  • Avoid overly busy image references; clear silhouettes convert better.
